ARLINGTON — Community members interested in learning how life was like at the turn of the century will soon be able to do so.
The Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Association’s Pioneer Days is again slated to take place on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Pioneer Hall in Arlington.
The event, which will be going on from 1-4 p.m., will feature a number of hands-on activities and demonstrations for children to take part in, said Myrtle Rausch, president of the association.
Children will learn about milking a cow, churning butter, grinding wheat, making shake shingles, washing clothes the old fashioned way, toys of yesteryear, pumping water, sawing logs and other activities.
The eighth annual event will occur at 20722 67th Ave., Arlington. For more information, visit www.stillymuseum.com or call 360-435-7289.
