ARLINGTON — A team raising money for Relay For Life is encouraging residents to eat lunch in downtown Arlington Friday, March 5.

Community members can help the Legwarmers by eating at either La Hacienda or Playa Bonita restaurants between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Both restaurants will be donated a portion of their profits to the Legwarmers team, which will be taking part in Relay for Life of Arlington.

The event takes place June 4-5 at Arlington High School and benefits the American Cancer Society.

“We have spread the word to all the schools in Arlington, and since Friday is a teacher inservice day, we are hoping many employees will be eating lunch at either one of our fine Mexican restaurants,” said team member Becky Hollander. “I am hoping this will be a huge success and fundraiser for a very worthy cause.”

In order to help the team, Hollander said all residents need to do is present the group’s coupon. Coupons can be obtained by calling Hollander at 425-422-5259.
