Violet Rose Kane, 98, of Everett, Wash., died Aug. 5, 2007.
She was born July 9, 1909, in Umatilla, Ore., to James and Elsie Marshall.
In 1927, Violet married Chester LeRoy Kane, they moved to the Puget Sound area in 1928. In 1936 they settled in Everett, Wash.
Violet enjoyed gardening and ceramics. She loved spending time with her family. She insisted that every few months they all gather for a picnic, barbecue or a large family dinner.
Violet is survived by her six children, Patricia Gabbard, of Granite Falls, Wash., Susie (Don) Bustad, of Stanwood, Wash., Richard (Leann) Kane, of Tulalip, Wash., Phil (Kathy) Kane, of Lake Stevens, Wash., Eileen (Phil) Duggins, of Show Low, Ariz., and Jim (Dorothy) Kane, of Snohomish, Wash.; brother, Chris Marshall, of Ellensburg, Wash.; sister, Maybell (George) Matthews, of Ellensburg; and brother, James (Gail) Marshall, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 39 grandchildren; at least 101 great-grandchildren; and 41 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester; and two grandsons, David Gabbard and Bruce Duggins.
Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy. Committal Service followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
