ARLINGTON- It’s time to go back to the roaring ‘20s and early ‘30s and experience Arlington High School’s rollicking production of “Guys and Dolls!”

“This timeless musical includes a large cast, dazzling sets and eye-popping costumes,” said Scott Moberly, AHS drama director. “The high-energy show is the perfect cure for the winter-time blues.”

The play is set in New York and focuses on big -city gamblers and the women who love them. Nathan Detroit makes his living as the proprietor of the oldest established, permanent, floating craps game in the city. He has big spenders ready to join his latest illegal craps game, but he’s having trouble arranging a safe location—and finding the money to pay for it.

High-roller Sky Masterson, who falls in love with mission worker Sarah Brown, and lovable Detroit, engaged for 14 years to Miss Adelaide, a headliner at the Hot Box Club, are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

The show features Broadway’s timeless classics including “Fugue for Tinhorns,” “A Bushel and a Peck,” “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat.”

Performances will be March 3-4 and 10-11 at 7 p.m. A matinee is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 11. Tickets are $8 for seniors and students, $10 for adults.
