MARYSVILLE – You can almost smell those shrimp, it’s so close to them being ready to boil.
The 7th Annual Sunrise Rotary Louisiana Shrimp Boil will take place Saturday at Cedarcrest Golf Course. A golf tourney precedes the dinner, starting at noon. The dinner will take place at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $40.
At 7 p.m., an auction will take place. Auction items include: A 7-day condo in Maui ($2,000 value); Brisket Party ($600); UW’s Warren Moon Rose Bowl framed photograph ($400); One-hour flight and dinner at Bleachers ($750); Seahawk Steve Largent helmet ($400); Richard Sherman NFC Championship photo ($500); and a Surf and Turf dinner for up to 20 at Bleachers ($2,500).
Raffle tickets will be available at 10 for $20. Tickets for the ongoing Caboose Playhouse prize are $10 each; that drawing will take place during the evening.
At 8 p.m., there will be dancing to the classic rock band Aardvarks United.
Proceeds go to the Rotary, which supports The Salvation Army, Marysville Boys & Girls Club, Rotary International and their fight against polio, Eagle Wings disAbility Ministries, Housing Hope and others.
