ARLINGTON — On Tuesday, Aug. 30, a 23-year old Marysville resident was arrested in connection to two recent bomb threats at the Arlington Walmart, located at 4000 block of 172nd Street NE. The man, an employee of the Arlington Walmart, left notes in the building on two separate occasions indicating that a bomb was set to go off at that location.

The first bomb threat was reported on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 5:55am. The second bomb threat was reported to police on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 3:55 a.m. On both occasions, the Arlington Police Department responded to the Arlington Walmart to investigate the reports.

The Marysville man admitted to both bomb threats and was booked into the Snohomish County jail for two counts of threats to bomb or injure property. The charge of threats to bomb or injure property is a Class B felony, punishable by up to ten years in a state correctional institution and/or a $20,000 fine.
