Free small business digital marketing class

The NW Innovation Resource Center and City of Arlington are hosting a free workshop that will share with small business owners several digital marketing tips to increase exposure and grow their brand.

Jerry Quinn, a professional marketer and digital media director with more than 25 years of agency and brand experience, will give a presentation from 6-7 p.m. July 25 in the Arlington City Council Chambers, 238 N Olympic Ave.

Quinn will discuss principles for how startups, local marketers and established businesses can effectively compete and build a strong social media presence. Attendees will learn their potential advantages relative to larger, national brands and established competitors, and get an overview of different marketing tactics and media types, with time for questions.

Quinn was the media director for Bay Area digital agencies including USWeb/CKS and Agency.com, where he developed and managed digital campaigns for US Airways, Adidas, Apple Computer, 20th Century Fox Studios, Mandalay Bay Resorts and others. He was also the global director for Microsoft’s display advertising direct response program, and a marketing manager at CDK global that worked with numerous car companies.

The workshop is part of the nonprofit NWIRC’s Main Street Business Learning Series for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
