MARYSVILLE – A Marysville woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver while standing in a rest area parking lot six miles north of Ferndale.

Cynthia Stitt, 68, was struck, and then the vehicle left the scene, the state patrol reported Friday.

The memo says the incident occurred Oct. 4 at 3:29 in the afternoon.

The patrol is investigating.
