Arlington Police arrest suspects in robbery of 19-year-old

At approximately 2 a.m. on Aug. 2, Arlington Police officers were contacted by an Arlington resident who reported that he had just been robbed by two male suspects at the 7-11 store in the 500 block of N West Avenue.

ARLINGTON — At approximately 2 a.m. on Aug. 2, Arlington Police officers were contacted by an Arlington resident who reported that he had just been robbed by two male suspects at the 7-11 store in the 500 block of N West Avenue.

The 19-year old robbery victim reported that the suspects approached him outside the 7-11 store and demanded several personal items from him. After forcibly removing the items from the victim, the suspects reportedly threatened to harm the victim if he called the police.

A short time later, Arlington Police located the two suspects. One suspect, an 18-year-old Arlington resident, was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail on the charge of robbery in the second degree. The second suspect, a 17-year-old Everett resident, was released pending formal criminal charges through the prosecutor’s office.

Most of the items taken from the victim were recovered from the suspects.
