OSO – A memorial service is being planned for March 22 in Oso to remember the victims of the tragic slide a year ago.
Highway 530 will be closed that morning. Participants will be shuttled on buses from various locations to the site.
More information will be published as it becomes available, as the event is still in the planning stages, a city of Arlington news release says.
Other community events also are being planned, including:
• A Soup Social at the Oso Fire Department March 22 from noon to 4 p.m.
• A Pie Social at the Darrington Community Center March 22 (time to be announced).
• A Benefit Concert with six acts for the Oso Fire Department at Rhodes River Ranch March 21 at 1 p.m., to include buffet and live auction.
• Gathering of Hope at Darrington Community Center March 20 in the evening (time to be announced).
• McClinchy Mile Oso Strong Bicycle Ride March 15 at 10 a.m.
