Library hosts variety of events

A variety of activities for children, teenagers and adults is offered by the Arlington Library during November.

The following programs will be offered to children:

Ready Readers: Baby Storytime, Nov. 3-24, 9:30 a.m. — Babies and their favorite adults learn to love reading together with stories, songs, finger plays and rhymes. Playtime follows. For newborns through 18 months. Caregiver required.

Ready Readers: Toddler Storytime, Nov. 3-17, 10:30 a.m. — Music, movement, stories and rhymes for ages 18 months to 3 years. Reading readiness skills are included. Caregiver required.

Ready Readers: Preschool Storytime, Nov. 5-19, 1 p.m. — Children ages 3 to 5 years enjoy stories, songs and getting ready to read with a parent or caregiver.

The following programs will be offered to teenagers:

Teen Wednesdays: Gaming at the Library, Nov. 4, 3 p.m. — Like gaming? Join organizers at the library for Mario Kart. Snacks provided. Supported by the Friends of the Arlington Library and Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation.

Howl at the Library: A “New Moon” release party, Nov. 13, 7 p.m. — Celebrate the movie release of “New Moon” at the library. Prove you’re a “Twilight” Saga expert with “Twilight” Jeopardy, participate in activities related to all things “Twilight,” and win fabulous “Twilight” swag. Snacks provided. Supported by the Friends of the Arlington Library and Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation.

Teen Advisory Group, Nov. 17, 3 p.m. — Teens are invited to share their ideas for library programs, purchases and improvements. Volunteer hours offered and snacks provided. Supported by the Friends of the Arlington Library.
