ARLINGTON — Crews responded to a shed fire in a mobile home park on Tuesday, Aug. 17.

Nobody was injured in the fire, which occurred in the 20000 block of 67th Avenue NE, but a nearby mobile home sustained heat damage and a broken window.

“The crews were very aggressive with putting water onto the fire, thereby confining the fire to the shed (and) minimizing damage to any living spaces around it,” said Arlington Fire Chief Jim Rankin.

Bruce Pulver of the Snohomish County Fire Marshall’s office said that an electrical fire likely started under the shed. The fire does not appear suspicious, he said.

Officials said that firefighters had a difficult time reaching the fire because crews were only able to fit one truck in the park.

Responders from the Arlington Fire Department, Fire District 19, Fire District 21 and the Marysville Fire District eventually knocked down the shed just after 8:40 p.m.

A second mobile home sitting west of the shed was also sustained minor damages.
