Silvana Fair books now available
A 30-page guide to the Silvana Fair is now available at the post office and various locations around north Snohomish County. The fair is in downtown Silvana 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 26. Entries are due July 15. For information call 360-652-0587.
Outer Court launches summer concerts
Live music, dancers and artists are all lined up for Community Jam Nights on Fridays through July and August at The Outer Court, 1519 Third St., located in the parking lot next to Finders Keepers Furnishings in downtown Marysville.
Community Jams are from 7 to 10 p.m. every Friday in July and August.
The calendar begins July 4 with Robbie Jordan and the South Sound Youth Jazz Band. Also performing is jazz musician Sweet Sucker. After the music on the Fourth, stay for fireworks in the parking lot.

n July 11 — Trinity Project offers good news blues, Cindy Lang’s country, blues and jazz and Terry Carson, singer entertainer.
n July 18 — Rock Classix, Egyptian Pop Bellie Dancers and the Keith Bachman Band.
n July 25 — Indynile, a classic rock band, Egyptian Cabaret Belly Dancing and Melody St. Clair (girl, guitar and a message).
Admission to the Outer Court free with free art projects for kids. Barbecue supper of burgers, dogs, hot links and sausages plus fixings is available for $4 for adults and $2 for kids. Espresso, shakes and coffees are also on hand at The Carabinieri Bar nearby.

Marysville’s Sounds of Summer concerts start this week, with the 70th Army Band offering big band sounds at 7 p.m. Friday, July 11. The Friday evening series continues with Incendio on July 18, Dynamik on July 25, Créme Tangerine on Aug. 1, Adrian Xaviar on Aug. 18 and the Emerald City Throwdown on Aug. 15.
Sounds of Summer also includes music in Comeford Park at noon on Thursdays: Geoffrey Castle on July 10; Becky Foster and the A-Band on July 17; Wired on July 24; Raucous on July 31; Hotbox on Aug. 7 and Hot Club Sandwich on Aug. 14. Marysville is also offering movies in various city parks through the summer. The next movie is July 19 at Harborview Park. Lavender Festival
Lavender Hills Farm welcomes visitors to walk through the fragrant fields and pick fresh lavender bouquets at its annual farm festival Saturday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival includes music, vendors with arts and crafts and demonstrations, and food, special for the day, such as lavender ice cream and more. Rodeo in Darrington
The Darrington Rodeo is this weekend, July 12 and 13 at the rodeo arena three miles west of Darrington on SR 530. The competition among cowboys include bullriding, saddle bronc, bareback riding, team riding, barrel racing, breakaway roping and steer wrestling. The clown is Josh Shepard, according to the presenter, Nick Bates, who is president of the Darrington Horseowners Association. The show starts at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and breakfast is served starting at 7 a.m. Admission is $6 for children and $8 for adults.

Fiddlers camp out
The Old Time Fiddlers will be gathering for its annual campout July 10 – 12 at the Stanwood/Camano Fairgrounds and the public is invited. The campout and their regular jams through the year provide fun music for acoustic musicians and listeners of all ages.
The fiddlers gather regularly through the year on Friday evenings at the old Arlington High School, 135 S. French St. with upcoming dates, July 25, Aug. 8 and Aug. 22.
The jam nights begin at 5 p.m. with a Celtic jam, 6 p.m. workshop and 7 p.m. circle jam and music, jamming and snacks throughout the evening.

Poochapalooza
Dogs and dog lovers are invited to the third-annual Poochapalooza, presented by the Marysville Dog Owners Group 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12 at the Asbery Field of Totem Middle School, on Fourth Street and Columbia Avenue.
Visitors will see flyball dogs in action, watch or enter the Hyperflite Skyhoundz Regional Flying Disk Tournament, visit dozens of pet product vendor booths, and enter your dogs in the “pet showcase” for wackiest pet trick, best costume, best voice, biggest, smallest, and longest ears, among other categories. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated for the development of off-leash dog parks in Marysville.
Each entrant will receive a free “Poochapalooza” doggy bandana and other goodies, while supplies last.
