ARLINGTON — The Walmart in Arlington has reopened after being closed as a precaution after a bomb threat was received early Thursday morning.
Walmart employees contacted 911 about 5:55 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 25 indicating they had received a bomb threat.
Arlington Police arrived within minutes and evacuated the building as a precaution, according to Kristin Banfield, assistant city administrator/city clerk of the city of Arlington. There were five customers in the store at the time. Arlington Police Department and Washington State Patrol K-9 have searched the building and did not locate any explosive devices, said Banfield.
