ARLINGTON — Lebanon Street will be closed on Feb. 15 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This closure is by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway for railroad crossing repair, and detours will be in effect.

SMOKEY POINT — Arlington firefighters found smoke but no fire at the Lowe’s Home Improvement store just off Smokey Point Boulevard on Feb. 6.
At approximately 7:30 a.m., units from the Arlington Fire Department were dispatched to a reported electrical fire from the receiving area at the Lowe’s located in the 3300 block of 169th Place NE.
ARLINGTON — All eight of the suspects identified in the Feb. 5 robbery at the intersection of Interstate 5 and Highway 530 in Arlington have since been arrested.
Arlington Police Department units were dispatched at 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 5, to a report of a robbery that had just taken place in the parking lot of the Denny’s Restaurant at Island Crossing near I-5.
ARLINGTON — Arlington High School theater students were afforded an opportunity to perform on a broader stage last month, when they joined fellow theater students from across western Washington to take part in the International Thespian Society District Festival.
ARLINGTON — Arlington Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Domino’s Pizza located in the 3100 block of Smokey Point Drive, that occurred on Jan. 27 at approximately 12:20 p.m.
A suspect armed with a knife entered the business demanding money, then fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Witnesses described the suspect as a Caucasian male, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, in his late teens to mid-20s with a slight build and blonde hair.
ARLINGTON — The Stillaguamish Valley School is sponsoring a visit by Andrew Pudewa, director of the Institute for Excellence in Writing and a homeschooling father of seven, to share his insights with the Arlington School District on Feb. 2.
Pudewa will present “Nurturing Competent Communicators: The Power of Linguistic Patterns” for free in the Linda M. Byrnes Performing Arts Center at Arlington High School, located at 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd., from 7-8:30 p.m.
ARLINGTON — The city of Arlington and the Stillaguamish Tribe will present the fourth annual Eagle Festival on Feb. 5 in Arlington.
The Stillaguamish watershed hosts large concentrations of bald eagles during the winter, when they feed on the spawning salmon, the City of Arlington is once again inviting visitors to see the eagles in town and take part in a variety of educational and entertaining events during the day.
As of 12:11 p.m. on Jan. 21, all northbound lanes of I-5 near Arlington have been reopened after being blocked by a multi-car crash more than an hour before.
A collision between six vehicles, one of which was a semi-trailer truck, occurred at mile post 208 near the Stillaguamish River at approximately 11:01 a.m.
ARLINGTON — As of 11:46 a.m. on Jan. 21, all northbound lanes of I-5 near Arlington were blocked after a multi-car crash.
According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Keith Leary, a collision between six vehicles, one of which was a semi-trailer truck, occurred at mile post 208 near the Stillaguamish River at approximately 11:01 a.m.
ARLINGTON — A multi-vehicle collision closed both directions of Highway 9, between Highway 531 and 204th Street NE, around 3:30 p.m. Jan. 18.
As of press time, Arlington police were on the scene and had no comment.
ARLINGTON — A 26-year-old Arlington man was one of three people shot outside Club Broadway in Everett in the early morning of Jan. 11.
The three victims, which also include a 28-year-old Lynnwood man and a 23-year-old Stanwood woman, were all shot once in the legs or feet, but all are expected to survive.
