Arlington Airport supervisor earns professional airport accreditation

Dale Carman, airport supervisor for the Arlington Municipal Airport, has been awarded the distinction of Accredited Airport Executive by the American Association of Airport Executives. To qualify for this distinction, Carman had to successfully complete three phases of the accreditation process, from passing a 180-item multiple-choice examination and fulfilling a writing requirement to demonstrating, in his final interview by a panel of AAEs, his knowledge of airport management, business administration and general transportation economics. Carman's achievement attests to his ability to meet these stringent requirements and his experience in managing a public airport.

ARLINGTON — Dale Carman, airport supervisor for the Arlington Municipal Airport, has been awarded the distinction of Accredited Airport Executive by the American Association of Airport Executives.

To qualify for this distinction, Carman had to successfully complete three phases of the accreditation process, from passing a 180-item multiple-choice examination and fulfilling a writing requirement to demonstrating, in his final interview by a panel of AAEs, his knowledge of airport management, business administration and general transportation economics.

Carman’s achievement attests to his ability to meet these stringent requirements and his experience in managing a public airport.

By fulfilling all the requirements leading to the title of Accredited Airport Executive, Carman joins a select group of individuals who have earned the designation in the nearly six decades of the accreditation program’s existence.

At present, fewer than 10 percent of the AAAE’s members throughout the country have earned this distinction.
