LAKEWOOD — Han and Sophia Kim served free sushi at their grand opening celebration at Paradise Sushi and Grill, 2707 171st Pl. NE, Suite 101, at Lakewood Commons June 9 and 11.
They invited special guests on Tuesday, June 9, including local officials and people who helped build their building, including Juan Cruz, of Federal Way, who worked on the air conditioning system. Cruz brought his wife and three kids to check it out.
“The kids were all very excited to come and eat out,” Juan Cruz said, admitting it took an hour to drive from home.
The conveyor sushi and fusion-style grill offers an assortment of traditional leery of raw fish.
“Our chefs will make your dining experience new and exciting,” said owner Han Kim. Han and his wife Sophia Kim have been back and forth between the United States and Korea over the past 10 years, operating restaurants in Korea.
“We decided it was time to open a restaurant here,” Sophia Kim said.
The couple have three children, with their 18-year-old helping out at grand opening celebration.
