Grow Your Own Groceries Class
Preserving the Harvest and Expanding to Year Round Gardening will be presented in the city of Arlington’s Community Room, Hadley Hall, adjacent to the Arlington Boys and Girls’ Club at 18513 59th Avenue NE, Arlington, on Saturday, July 11, 10-11:30 a.m. The class is sponsored by the Snohomish County WSU Master Gardeners and the city of Arlington. Bea Rabdall is the instructor of this free class.
Summer art classes for kids
A variety of art classes are offered this summer by the Arlington High School art teacher, Bev Schatz, in the AHS art room, 18821 Crown Ridge, in Arlington. Cartooning and animation is offered July 13-15 and a glass art class designed for middle school students is 9 a.m. to
1 p.m., July 30 and 31, when students will learn techniques of cutting glass, foil and soldering and color and design while making a suncatcher or two. Class fees are $55 and $65, and pre-registration is required at 360-403-3448.
Trent Tomlinson at BPAC Sept. 18
Country singer and songwriter Trent Tomlinson’s high energy performance will rock the Byrnes Performing Arts Center on Friday, Sept. 18. Presented by the Arlington Arts Council with financial support from the city of Arlington’s Lodging Tax Grant, Tomlinson’s recent hit, “Drunker Than Me,” has scored in the Top 20 country hit list.
