Call for vendors for Arlington Street Fair Crafters, artists, growers, vendors and community groups are wanted for the Arlington Street Fair which is set for July 11, 12 and 13 on Olympic Avenue in Arlington. Runners club announces winners, plans next event
The Arlington Runners Club raised more than $2,400 for the Eagle Wings ministry at its April 26 event and is now planning its next event, a benefit for Dollars for Scholars set for May 31, starts 10 a.m. at Pioneer Elementary School in Gleneagle. Registration starts at 8:45 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m.

Chamber golf

The Arlington-Smokey Point Chamber of Commerce has announced it’s annual golf tournament is Friday, June 6 at Gleneagle Country Club. Shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Entry fee of $86 includes green fees, golf cart, tee prizes, steak and salmon prime rib dinner and the Great Chamber Raffle.

• The Haller Point Market at The Village Store, 604 E. Gilman St. in Arlington is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays throughout the summer. Art for Mountain Loop
June 4 is the deadline for artists to apply to be included in an art show that celebrates the beauty of the Mountain Loop Experience.
Organizers of the grand opening celebration are seeking arts and crafts for an art fair to celebrate the reopening of the Mountain Loop Highway in June. The Old Time Fiddlers meets on the second and fourth Friday evenings, May 23, and June 13 and 27 at the old Arlington High School, 135 S. French St., in Arlington. The program begins at 5 p.m. with a Celtic jam followed by a workshop at 6 p.m. and circle jam at 7 p.m. Music, jamming and snacks throughout the evening. Listeners and acoustic musicians of all ages are welcome.
