HomeGrown offers homemade hotdogs Aug. 8-9

The owner of The Family Dog, Pam McCord will bring the family business to the 23rd annual HomeGrown for the first time this year.

“She homeschools her two daughters and makes sure they eat healthy foods,” said HomeGrown organizer, Mary Burns, at BookWorks Bookstore.

“You can imagine how excited the kids were when she decided to run a hotdog cart.”

The Family Dog will be selling locally produced soda and chips and their own kosher hot dogs in downtown Marysville’s HomeGrown which is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 8 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 9.

The festival features arts, crafts and homegrown produce, plants and flowers in booths on Third Street east of State Avenue. There will be craft and product demonstrations and live music on Friday, and the “Hometown Revue” all day Saturday.

No pre-entry is required for the contests — just show up in plenty of time to enter.
