ARLINGTON — The Kent Prairie Elementary PTA will host its 13th annual Kiddie Carnival on Friday, March 22, from 5-8 p.m., with a theme of “Space” this year, so event organizers hope students and their families will be willing to go “To Infinity … and Beyond.”

The Kiddie Carnival will again be offered free of charge to Kent Prairie students, all of whom will receive a free colored punch card the week of the event. Students will need to bring these cards with them to the carnival to play its games for free, since no free cards will be given out at the carnival. Additional punch cards will be available for $5 to non-Kent Prairie students, or to Kent Prairie students who want to play additional games. Cash will be accepted for food and Jamba Juice, and tickets will be sold for $1 photo buttons.

Once a student’s punch card has been filled, or even if it isn’t but the student is leaving for the night, they should stop by the prize room to exchange their punch card for a prize.

“In years past, the Kent Prairie PTA and our generous sponsors have covered the carnival’s expenses,” said Carnival Chair Kim Hahn, who’s looking for more sponsors to help cover their expenses. “Proceeds earned from the carnival will go toward PTA-sponsored projects such as new computers, field trips, guest speakers, teacher equipment, safety supplies and many other items.”
