TULALIP — Hip Hop artist “Komplex Kai” performed for a full house at the Seattle Center MaCaw Hall during the annual Seattle International Children’s Festival in May and now he’s returning home for a concert in the “Q” nightclub.
The festival was renamed this year “The Giant Magnet,” and Tulalip’s Hip Hop artist with a purpose, Kisar Jones-Fryberg attracted crowds like the best of big magnets.
He rapped his lyrics for more than 2,000 students from around Puget Sound on May 14, and now he’s returning home, performing at the Tulalip Quilceda Creek Casino, 6410 33rd Ave. NE. in Tulalip at 8 p.m., Thursday, June 11.
The Tulalip tribal member, Komplex Kai raps about indigenious Native American “life on the rez.”
The June 11 at the Q is regeared for adults.
Along with Komplex Kai the other guest performers will include emcee and producer from Tacoma, Swift Holiday and emcee D.J. Defkawn from Mount Vernon who will be introducing all acts, including, all the way from Hawaii, “Original” with friends.
