MARYSVILLE – We all know that Santa Claus is coming to town.

But this early?

Santa arrived at Cabela’s in Tulalip Saturday night. While a few people mentioned it seemed early they nevertheless got into the holiday spirit.

The Marysville City Band played Christmas songs, and the store gave out cookies and hot chocolate, along with stress balls shaped like Santa.

Kids’ faces lit up as they got to meet Santa because they usually are asleep when he comes to their house.

Inside, people stood in line to get a ticket with a time on it saying when they could sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what they want for Christmas. That way they could shop around then come back at their given time, rather than wait in a long line for a long time.

Santa made his way to a Winter Wonderland where he sat and chatted with children.

Santa will be at the store at various times through Christmas Eve, when he has to leave to make his rounds.
