ARLINGTON — On May 26 at approximately 1:20 a.m., Arlington fire crews were dispatched to a house fire in the 9900 block of 169th St. NE.
On arrival, fire crews found a single-story unoccupied home that was on fire on one end. Additional units from Fire Protection District 19 in Silvana and Arlington Rural Fire District 21 also responded to the fire.
According to Arlington Fire Deputy Chief Tom Cooper, fire crews were able to enter the structure, perform a search for victims and do an offensive attack on the fire. There were reports of a vagrant being in the home the last few days, but no one was located in the home during the search. The fire was contained within a few minutes.
There is no estimate of dollar loss available at this time. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
