ARLINGTON — On Oct. 20 at approximately 5 a.m., Arlington fire crews were dispatched to a structure fire in the 10000 block of 200th Street NE.
On arrival, fire crews found a 1,000-square-foot shop with heavy fire showing. Additional units from Snohomish County Fire Protection District 22 of Getchell, Arlington Rural Fire District 21, Silvana Fire District 19 and the Marysville Fire District also responded to the fire.
According to Arlington Fire Chief Bruce Stedman, fire crews were only able do a defensive attack on the fire due to the heavy fire conditions and large combustible load within the structure, which caused crews difficulty in reaching the seat of the fire. An occupant of the structure was treated and released at the scene for minor injuries sustained after discovering the fire.
There is no estimate of the dollar loss available at this time. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
