ARLINGTON — A 26-year-old Arlington man was one of three people shot outside Club Broadway in Everett in the early morning of Jan. 11.

The three victims, which also include a 28-year-old Lynnwood man and a 23-year-old Stanwood woman, were all shot once in the legs or feet, but all are expected to survive.

When Everett police responded to a disturbance call near Everett Avenue and Colby Avenue shortly before 2 a.m., one officer heard gunshots and other officers saw people running and vehicles leaving the scene at high rates of speed.

Everett police have yet to determine if the victims were targeted or were random victims of the gunfire. According to Everett Police Sgt. Robert Goetz, no arrests have been made in the shooting, which he believes was the work of just one shooter.

Although a 31-year-old Mill Creek man was arrested for obstructing officers’ attempts to investigate the shooting, and was later found to have a handgun in his possession for which his concealed weapons permit had expired, police have found no evidence so far that connects him to the shooting.

Investigators spent several hours at the scene collecting evidence and gathering witness statements, and are continuing to work on gathering information.
