Two men, including a 40-year-old man from Arlington, who detectives believe are responsible for a Dec. 4 home invasion robbery in Snohomish – in which a woman was tied up for several hours – are in jail, one in Snohomish County and one in Pierce County.

Late Monday, Dec. 8, one of the suspects, a 40-year-old man from Arlington, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by Tacoma Police on a traffic infraction. The passenger had duffle bags in his possession that contained items stolen in the Dec. 4 home invasion robbery. He was booked into jail on another warrant unrelated to the home invasion. He has since been booked on possession of stolen property related to the home invasion robbery, and other charges related to this case are expected. He is still in the Pierce County Jail.

That arrest led to information about the second suspect involved. Snohomish County Sherrif’s deputies arrested the second suspect, a 31-year-old man, during a traffic stop Tuesday evening. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on one count of first degree robbery, kidnapping and burglary.

Detectives believe the men cased the neighborhood a week before the robbery and decided that particular home would have valuables inside. Detectives have recovered some of the stolen items.
