GRANITE FALLS — A 22-year-old Arlington man was critically injured after he lost control of his vehicle and hit a pole and a tree.
The man, who had four passengers in the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle shortly after the crash, which was reported just after 2:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3 in the 4400 block of Robe Menzel Road in Granite Falls.
The passengers — two teenage girls and two teenage boys from the Lake Stevens and Edmonds areas — were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The impact of the crash also caused the car to catch on fire, causing the driver to sustain burns, said Rebecca Hover, spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives have not ruled out whether alcohol was a factor. Hover said that no arrest have been made, and the crash remains under investigation.
