ARLINGTON — To better serve its customers, the city of Arlington Permit Center will be moving to the Arlington Municipal Airport office on Monday, Nov. 4.

The new location is more centrally located in Arlington, and should provide better accessibility for the Permit Center’s customers.

The new address of the Permit Center is 18204 59th Ave. NE in Arlington.

The Permit Center is the starting point for land use, civil work, residential and commercial building permits, mechanical permits, utilities installations and business licenses in the city of Arlington.

The Permit Center is open Mondays through Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., to provide assistance with development proposals and to answer questions, with no appointments needed.

The Permit Center is preparing to launch online permitting in January, which will enable customers to apply for permits and business licenses online though the city’s website.

Customers will have the option of submitting online or at the Permit Center, and will be able to expect to see streamlined forms and submittal checklists, as well as the convenience of paying online, using credit or debit cards.
