Arlington police seek help in catching suspect behind bomb threat

ARLINGTON – Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect who made multiple bomb threats to the Arlington Rite Aid Dec. 29.

Shortly before 8 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of multiple phoned-in threats alleging a bomb was in the building in the 17200 block of Smokey Point Boulevard.

Rite Aid managers evacuated all employees and customers, and nearby roads were closed and businesses alerted.

The Washington State Patrol Explosives Unit and K9 team completed a search. No devices were found.

All roadways and stores were reopened at 10:15 p.m. Anyone with information on the threats is requested to contact Arlington police at 360-403-3400, email police@arlingtonwa.gov or call 9-1-1.
