ARLINGTON – Arlington Public Schools (APS) is hosting a public meeting on the district’s Hazard Mitigation Plan that helps prepare and better protect the district against major natural hazards that pose a significant threat.

The meeting, which includes time to comment on the draft plan, is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the APS district office, 315 N. French Ave.

The purpose of the plan is to proactively facilitate and support districtwide policies, practices and programs that make the district more disaster resistant and disaster-resilient.

A copy of the plan is available and comments can also be submitted online in the Administration-Facilities section on the district website at http://www.asd.wednet.edu. Please submit online by Monday, Feb. 6.
