ARLINGTON — The Arlington girls tennis team defeated Everett 5-2 March 30. Arlington’s winners were: Singles—Livia Markwart, 6-4 and 6-2; Layla Garduno-Cravito, 6-4 and 6-1; and Aleida Garduno-Cravito, 6-0 and 6-0.

Doubles—Gigi Moss and Sierra Roach, 4-6, 6-2 and 6-4; Jessica Abraham and Demi Catwright, 6-4 and 6-4.

Arlington defeated Shorecrest at Shoreline March 28. Arlington’s winners were: Singles— Markwort, 6-3 and 6-4; Layla Gardino-Cravioto, 6-2 and 6-4; Aleida Gardino-Cravioto, 6-0 and 6-1; and Lily Bynum, 6-3, 3-6 and 6-3.

Doubles—Moss and Roach, 6-1 and 6-1; and Alayna Miller and Abraham, 6-2 and 6-3.

Arlington’s record is 6-1.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood softball team defeated South Whidbey 9-4 March 29. Lakewood’s Jenna Melton was two-for-four hitting a double, and a home run, and teammate Olivia Tolten had a home run and three RBI. Lakewood’s record is 4-2.

ARLINGTON — Arlington’s Gavin Rork was three-for-three hitting a triple and two RBI while scoring two runs and stealing two bases in the Eagles 7-3 win over Shorewood March 29 in baseball. Arlington improved its record to 2-3.

ARLINGTON — Marysville-Pilchuck senior softball player Kylie Lopez hit three home runs in a row.

She hit two last week and with six RBI in M-P’s win over Marysville Getchell, and her third one in M-P’s route over Arlington 12-2 March 28.

She was three-for-three with a double, a triple and four RBI against Arlington. Teammate Lily Fischer was also three-for-three with two RBI in that game. M-P’s record is 3-1. Arlington’s record is 1-3.
