ARLINGTON — Cascade Valley Hospital recently received a top honor among United States medical facilities.
The Arlington-based hospital was one of three Washington state facilities to be named one of the top 100 hospitals by Cleverley and Associates, a national healthcare consulting firm.
The firm judges hospitals based on their ability to reinvest resources back into the healthcare they provide, their low costs and high-quality care, according to a hospital release.
Those criteria are used to create a community value index, which ranks U.S. hospitals.
The hospital was also designated a “Five-Star” facility.
“We are please that Cascade Valley Hospital has received this recognition for effectively managing our costs and maintaining reasonable rates while making strong commitments to providing excellent quality patient care,” said Clark Jones, Cascade’s chief executive.
Cascade Valley and facilities in Wenatchee and Longview were the only state hospitals to be in firm’s top 100.
Selections are based on publicly reported data — hospitals do not apply for the honor, the release said.
