Oct. 24 meeting at 5:30 p.m., in the Arlington City Council Chambers, on 110 E. Third St., to inform them to of the progress of the North Olympic Avenue Reconstruction Project.
City of Arlington Capital Projects Manager Paul Ellis will begin by offering a brief overview of the second phase of the reconstruction project, before city of Arlington Economic Development Manager Vic Ericson presents storefront facade enhancements that have been adopted by other communities across the country, in hopes of exploring how those ideas might be applied to downtown Arlington.
The first phase of the project involved the removal of underground storage tanks in the area to be reconstructed, and was completed in August. The second phase will include the installation of new water, sewer and stormwater lines, as well as new curbs, gutters and sidewalks, new road surfacing, and streetscape amenities such as benches and lighting. This upcoming phase is expected to start construction in early spring.
If you have any questions, you may contact Paul Ellis at 360-403-4603, or Vic Ericson at 360-403-3475.
