Arlington Garden Club monthly meeting

The next Arlington Garden Club monthly meeting will be Monday, Feb. 8, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., Arlington Boys & Girls Club Community Room 18513 59th Ave. NE, Arlington.

The program, Floral Design, will be presented by Dawn Griep, an AGC member and an experienced designer of floral arrangements for Flowers by George in Arlington. Many of her floral designs have been entered in the Northwest Flower and Garden Shows.

The finished floral arrangements will be raffled off to members and guests.

The public is welcome.

‘Peter and the Wolf’ comes to Arlington

“Peter and the Wolf” is coming to the Byrnes Performing Arts Center.

The Olympic Ballet Theatre of Edmonds recently announced that it will hold special school group performances at the Byrnes Performing Arts Center starting at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 8.

The performance of “Peter and the Wolf” will feature Peter, represented by string instruments of the orchestra, as he and his animal friends capture a wold in the forest.

Scenery, costumes, lighting, masks and props will all be used to delight and mesmerize kids of all ages, said Jessica Lowber of the theater.
