ARLINGTON – The barefoot burglar was arrested Monday night after someone saw him at the Stanwood-Bryant store and called 9-1-1, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said this afternoon.
Sheriff’s deputies and K9 units spent much of the day searching the 3900 block of 259th St. NE for the male burglary suspect.
The man and a woman were caught allegedly burglarizing a residence by the homeowner around 9:30 a.m.
A sheriff’s K9 team located the woman, and the suspect’s vehicle was recovered near the scene.
The suspect was described as a white man, 6 feet tall, wearing a blue t-shirt and dark jeans.
He fled the area on foot, and his shoes and hat were located by K9 teams, so the suspect was believed to be barefoot.
Anyone who has information about the suspect or incident is asked to call 911.
