Early results from the state track meet in Tacoma

TACOMA – Nathan Beamer of Arlington High School had the best local Class 3A showing at state at Mount Tahoma High School May 28 in early results.

TACOMA – Nathan Beamer of Arlington High School had the best local Class 3A showing at state at Mount Tahoma High School May 28 in early results.

He placed fourth in the 1600 meters.

Placing fourth in their heat was the 4 X 400 relay team from Marysville Getchell consisting of Antonio Brown, Eugene Marcus, Codey Voss and Garrett Westover.

Placing first in his heat in the 110 hurdles was Cordell Cummings of Arlington.

In the pole vault, Zach Verge of Marysville Pilchuck was fourth and teammate Ilya Nikitenko ninth.

For the girls, Jessica Ludwig was 12th and Sidney Trinidad 15th in the 100-meter hurdles, with times of 15.9 seconds and 16.58.

Ludwig won her flight in the javelin.

In Class 2A, Douglas Davis was ninth in the 1600 meters for Lakewood. Teammates Josh Dickey and Brett Bustad were 12th and 13th in the long jump with leaps of 19-11.75 meters and 19-10.75 meters.
