EVERETT — Several nonprofit organizations that serve Arlington’s community have received grants through the Greater Everett Community Foundation.
n Arlington’s Village Community Services received a grant from Mountain Pacific Bank employees and directors, when the bank awarded $6,025 to eight Snohomish County nonprofit organizations. Mountain Pacific Bank supported programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs, Cocoon House, Housing Hope, the Assistance League of Everett, Christmas House, Clothes for Kids and St. Vincent de Paul.
Coastal Community Bank and First Heritage Bank also presented grants to Snohomish County organizations through the foundation.
n Coastal Community Bank employees also presented grant checks to a variety of county concerns, some of which serve Arlington communities. CCB gave $9,950 to eight nonprofit organizations including Camp Fire USA and Housing Hope as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Bethany of the Northwest, Developmental Asset Leadership Group, Families & Friends of Missing Persons and Violent Crime Victims, Forgotten Children’s Fund, and Senior Services of Island County. The Coastal Community Bank Employee Giving Fund has given out $28,000 in 2008 in three grant cycles.
n First Heritage Bank employees awarded $6,000 to eight local nonprofit organizations including the Stilly Snohomish Fisheries Enhancement Task Force, Housing Hope, the Assistance League of Everett, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Cascade Gleaning Association, Christmas House, Kids’ Kits Program, Sky Valley Homeless Task Force and St. Vincent de Paul.
The three different banks are just some of the more than 90 charitable funds managed by the Greater Everett Community Foundation. The Greater Everett Community Foundation continues to serve as a growing, permanent community asset, built by gifts and bequests from hundreds of individuals, families and businesses. During the past year the Greater Everett Community Foundation has granted more than $1 million to local charitable organizations through the 91 different funds they manage.
