LAKE GOODWIN – It’s officially been summer for almost a month, but so far the skies have often been filled with clouds, only rain has been scarce.

Many folks took advantage of Thursday’s mostly sunny skies to enjoy the day at Lake Goodwin. A few hundred enjoyed the free park at the north end of the lake, while hundreds more were camping and playing at Wenberg County Park on the east side.

Jim Hedman brought his jet ski up from Edmonds for the afternoon.

“There’ll be a lot more here this weekend,” if the weather stays nice, he predicted.
