ARLINGTON — A 38-year old man with a suspected history of mental illness attracted a SWAT team to the 17000 block of McRae Road late afternoon Oct. 15.

Police had received several complaints of a man firing shots and they reported to the house. Upon their arrival the man went inside and wouldn’t come out, said Rebecca Hover of the Sheriff’s office.

Deputies were familiar with the man and the fact that he wasn’t supposed to have firearms. The man came out of his house about 6 p.m. and surrendered. He was booked into Snohomish County Jail on one count of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. No injuries occurred.
