A number of incumbents, including the mayors of Arlington and Marysville, put their names in the hat for re-election as filing week began May 11.
Barb Tolbert and Jon Nehring were among the early filers, as were council member Sue Weiss and Marilyn Oertle in Arlington and Rob Toyer, Stephen C. Miller and Kamille Norton in Marysville. Sue Weiss and Jacob Kukuk also filed in Arlington.
Three local school board members also have filed for re-election: Pete Lundberg in Marysville, Gregory R. Jensen in Lakewood and Jim Weiss in Arlington.
County Executuve John Lovick will square off against longtime Snohomish County Council Member Dave Somers. Also, incumbent Brian Sullivan will be challenged on the county council by Greg Tisdel.
Others filing for re-election are: Treasurer Kirke Sievers, Auditor Carolyn Weikel, Sheriff Ty Trenary and County Councilwoman Barbara. Also, Linda Hjelle filed for assessor.
Nineteen people filed for charter review commission.
