The NOAH center north of Arlington is next in line to receive rescued animals from Hurricane Harvey.

“We are working with several relief organizations to coordinate the safe transfer of animals from Texas shelters so they can focus on helping families

affected by the disaster reconnect with their lost pets, NOAH executive director Stacie Ventura said in a news release Thursday.

Ventura asks for donations of supplies and money to help the pets once they are safe and dry. Ventura says the adoption of current pets is essential to make room for the new animals. “Your adoption saves two lives,” Ventura said.
