ARLINGTON — Work on the upcoming 2009 Arlington High School alumni directory is underway and the alumni association is contacting all AHS graduates by mail and phone to update the information for the directory.

Designed to be the definitive reference of Arlington High School and its alumni, the directory will make it easy for former students to reconnect with former friends and classmates.

Complete listings will include academic, professional and personal information, sorted alphabetically by last name and cross-referenced by name as a student, if different. Alumni will also be listed by class year and city and state of residence, and a special section about Arlington High School will provide a look at the past and a glimpse into othe future.

Any alumni who have not received the mailing, or would like to verify listings by phone should call the AHS Alumni Directory Publication Office at 1-866-742-6064.

AHS needs interviewers

Arlington High School needs community members to help with mock interviews to give its students a “real world” job interview experience and satisfy a piece of their employability portfolio for graduation preparedness.

Interviews will be held 8 – 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the school at 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. There will be three sessions, 8 – 8:55 a.m., 9 – 9:55 a.m. and

10 – 10:55 a.m.

Interviewers will be given a list of suggested questions and potential jobs and will interview three or four students per session. At the end they will critique them verbally and in writing. Interviewers may sign up for one, two or all three sessions as their time allows.

The critiques will be documented and included in the student’s employability portfolio which becomes a part of their senior project binder for presentation at the culmination of their projects.

Anyone interested in helping should call the high school at 360-618-6300.
