LAKE GOODWIN – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team Saturday reportedly found a 52-year-old man believed to have drowned in Lake Goodwin.

The man was reported to have been ejected from a boat on the lake Friday just before midnight.

The operator of the boat, a 58-year-old Stanwood man, was believed to be intoxicated and could potentially face charges of homicide by watercraft pending the outcome of the investigation, a sheriff’s news release says.

Search operations were suspended around 3:30 a.m. but resumed around 8:30 Saturday morning.

The boat launch at Wenberg Park was closed for the search, but has now reopened.
