Winter athletes make
all-league lists
Junior guard Cole Carpenter led three teammates to garner All-Conference notice for the Arlington boys basketball season.
Averaging 14.4 points per game going into the district tournament, Carpenter was named to Wesco Norths second team. Fellow Eagles Caleb Scarth and Tyler Busby made the honorable mention list, with each averaging over 10 points per game.##MU[more]##
On the girls side, junior Kyra Prause also earned honorable mention kudos.
Meanwhile, Arlington wrestler Chris Myers, who placed in the 3A state tournament at the Tacoma Dome, made the conference list at 160 pounds.
Billy Rist makes
second-team
Lakewood senior Billy Rist was named to the Cascade Conferences second team for his performance with the Cougar basketball team.
After losing much of last years squad to graduation, Rist helped navigate a relatively untested Lakewood team through injuries and a tough conference to a 5-16 season where they tied in league standings with Granite Falls. Cedarcrest, that finished top among the leagues 2A teams, gathered the most kudos with three players and their coach named.
T-ball registration underway
The Arlington Boys and Girls Club is accepting registration for its T-Ball, Coach Pitch and Pitching Machine leagues now through April 2 for a two-month season beginning April 7.
The T-Ball league is for kids ages 4-5 and costs $50 to register. Teams will practice one night a week with Saturday games. Coach Pitch is open to kids ages 6-7 and Pitching Machine for kids ages 7-9. Those teams practice twice a week with Saturday games, with a registration cost of $65.

opportunities to sign up for camps
The week of March 31 through April 4, registration will be accepted in Edmonds at the old Edmonds-Woodway High School, 23200 100th Ave. W, or at the Monroe Boys and Girls Club, 261 Sky River Pkwy., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
From April 7-11, another opportunity will be available at Bellevues Eastside Christian School, 14615 S.E. 22nd St. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
