Tulalip runs all over Evergreen Lutheran in opener 56-46

TULALIP - Robert Miles Jr. and Jessie Louie combined for 329 yards rushing and eight touchdowns to lead Tulalip Heritage High School to a 56-46 win over the Evergreen Lutheran Eagles of Tacoma Sept. 13.

The Hawks got off to a fast start, taking a 24-8 lead in the first quarter in the game at Quilceda Stadium.

Eight-man football is known for high-scoring affairs and this game didn’t disappoint. The two teams scored at least one touchdown per quarter the rest of the way, and usually two, but Tulalip hung on to win, despite being outscored the final three quarters 38-32.

Tulalip next plays Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. at Entiat High School in Chelan County in Eastern Washington.
