MARYSVILLE – The 42-year-old Tulalip woman who died in the Snohomish County Jail May 22 has been identified as Melissa Lee Bradford.
Bradford is the 10th person to die at the jail since 2010.
She had been found unresponsive in the jail medical unit. She had been booked into the jail May 21 by the sheriff’s office for fourth-degree domestic violence assault.
Bradford had been medically screened at booking, placed on a drug and alcohol withdrawal watch and admitted into the medical unit. She was routinely checked every half hour.
Her death is being investigated by the county’s Major Crimes Unit.
