Daniel Joseph Scott left this world on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, to begin his new adventure. He was at home in Coupeville, WA, surrounded by the love of family and close friends when he passed at the age of 39. Dan was born on July 18, 1978 in Edmonds, WA, to Joseph and Sharon (Brampton) Scott. He was raised in Marysville, WA, and had a childhood filled with stories and laughter with his two brothers and sister. He attended Marysville-Pilchuck High School and finished his schooling with Everett Community College.
He tried his hand at many things and enjoyed each trade, whether it was the actual job or the people he worked with that made it worthwhile. He often reminisced about his time spent working in Mammoth, CA where he created lifelong friendships and thoroughly enjoyed an avid outdoor lifestyle. Dan found great pride in the construction projects he completed all around Washington as well as numerous personal projects that he humorously left for his friend Josh to complete.
He spent a few years working at Boeing, where he ensured everyone was having a laugh.
The last four years he worked for Savage Careers and found that he thoroughly enjoyed his career as a locomotive operator. While working there he formed a bond with coworkers that would lead to establishing the Huscarls MC, in which he was immensely proud to be a part of. Dan has had an entertaining and adventurous journey in this life.
He is cherished as a Son, Brother, Dad, Soulmate, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend. He possessed a unique quality of lighting up a room with confidence and humor, touching the hearts of everyone he ever met. Dan was very passionate about family and friends, and 8 years ago he took great pride in becoming a family man and avid sports dad to his lady and their boys.
He brought a tremendous amount of love into their lives and strived to make sure they felt that love daily. He made everlasting lifelong friendships and was fiercely loyal, as well as generous and supportive. Dan never showed hesitation when he saw someone in need. His outgoing personality made him easy to approach and even easier to form a bond with. He was actively passionate in seeking any kind of adventure, a world wanderer, which took him to many parts of the country as well as abroad. He lived life to the fullest and created lasting memories.
He found enjoyment in fishing and smoking his catch, cheering on Seahawks football with his Dad, riding his Harley, and sharing his love of art and games with his boys, but Dan was always content on just being around family and friends.
He is survived by his parents Joseph and Sharon (Brampton) Scott, brothers Michael W. Scott and Joseph (Emily) M. Scott, sister Elishia M. Scott, His Lady Brittney Spolar and his sons Hurlee and Hunter, nephews and niece Malik, Leyla, and Oliver, best friends Casey (Kim) Hayes, and Joshua Stanton. As well as loved by numerous other friends and family.
A private family gathering will be held Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the Scott residence. A public Celebration of Life will be held on Whidbey Island on June 2, 2018, details to be announced. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Dan’s name to a local charity of choice.
