Donna Jewel Queen, 79, passed away at home July 28, 2007, in Arlington, Wash.
She was born to Jim and Leonna Montgomery June 20, 1929, in Homestead, Mont.
Donna attended Monroe High School until the 10th grade. She married Clarence L. Queen in October of 1948.
She worked as a waitress at the Blue Bird Cafe in Arlington for a number of years, and considered her role as loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as her most important work, yet she also enjoyed being a Tupperware dealer for 22 years.
Donna took great pleasure in playing bingo and watching Mariner baseball games. Her greatest love was for her family to whom she was deeply devoted and truly delighted in seeing her great-grandchildren.
Preceding Donna in death were her parents; and her son, Michael Lee Queen.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Clarence Queen, of Arlington; step-daughter, Margaret Heard, of Cartersville, Ga.; late sons wife, Nancy (Steve) Chronister, of Bellingham, Wash.; grandchildren, Tracy and Shelby; step-grandchildren, Denise, Jeanette and Ken; and nine great-grandchildren. Donna will be forever loved.
A celebration potluck gathering in her honor happened at 1 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at the family home in Arlington.
