Doris June Sullivan, 93, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on Jan. 19, 2010. Doris was born on June 12, 1916 in Bellingham, Wash to Henry and Anna Duvall, eventually her and her family moved to Marysville, Wash., where she graduated from Marysville High in 1935. She then went on to Western Washington University where she met her husband, Ray E. Sullivan.
They were married June 7, 1937 in Marysville, where they had all four of their children, before moving to Renton in 1955, where they raised their family and retired. In 1996, they moved back to Marysville, where they currently live.
Doris had a passion for knitting baby blankets for St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and handcrafting quilts for her family. They were devout Catholics, and active parishioners at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Dale Duvall. She is survived by her husband, Ray E. Sullivan; sister in law, June Duvall; daughters, Sharon and Bob Hild, RaeAnn and Henry Pedack, JoAnn and Bill Pelham; son, Patrick and Deanna Sullivan; grandchildren, Sally, Ed, Steven, Mick, Brian, Michelle, Nicol and Josh; great-grandchildren, Jami, Julie, Shea, Chloe, Nicholas and Nathan.
Doris was a devoted wife to husband Ray for 72 ½ years, and loving mother to her family. She passed away surrounded by her family at home.
The family would like to thank the Group Health Hospice team for all their support.
